Rohan was all wrong. Much too rocky - I shudder to think of horses
galloping across that terrain. And we shouldn't have been able to view
mountains from the Shire.
Have you seen wild horse country in Montana or Alberta? Rohan is _way_
better than that for horses.
Why don't you think you should see mountains from the shire? Wasn't it
about 10 days on foot to Rivendell? I can see mountains that far away from
the Canadian prairies.
