Happy 80th, Uriel Ofek! (Israeli writer, "Smoke over Golan")



He lives in Nof-Yam, Herzlia, Israel. Also the translator of American &
British classics into Hebrew (see bottom).

He won the Hans Christian Andersen Certificate of Honor from
International Board on Books for Young People, 1976, for "Smoke over
Golan." ("A 10-year-old Israeli boy's adventure near the front during
the Yom Kippur War between Israel and Egypt and Syria.")
