You called? :-D

Actually, I do remember you calling... and I remember laughing... but though
I could guess about the content of our conversation, that's all they'd be:
guesses - which is too bad. I'm not sure - I may have been still on the
morphine pump.
(Re)enlighten me?

FWIW: I also read a couple of books while in the hospital and I'd bet I
could read them over again and enjoy them just as much, maybe not as "new"
reads but they'd seem only vaguely familiar. I just need to remember which
books they were. :)

All in all, I remember the whole experience as being rather pleasant... I
had a few days where I had no responsibilities, everyone was concerned over
my wellbeing, whatever I wanted I just needed to press a button and I got
it... heck, they had me set up so I didn't even have to get up to pee. The
hospital is practically right next to Walden Pond, I had a nice view of the
Concord River and some woods out my window... if it hadn't been for the
helipad also right out my window it would have been idyllic.

Yeah, there was this pesky incision on my right hip, but it wasn't really a
big deal. I was in pretty good shape so even when they made me get out of
bed and crutch around or had the physical therapist in to do exercises...
that just broke up the day a bit.

Of course, percocet was also involved. :)

So Jess, again good luck, and may it go as nicely (or at least you remember
it so) as mine did for me!

Susan
