Animenation has sales for many companies every week.
Coinkydink? I think so.

It's things like this that make me half-believe Chicken Little here is just a 'bot; you can't MENTION ADV without him popping in to make another comment on THE IMPENDING DOOOOOOOOOM of THE INDUSTRY (well, now it's apparently just the DOOOOOOOOOM of ADV).

If it weren't for the complexity of his posts I'd be inclined to actually believe he was a bot. He shows the other hallmarks of it -- pops in whenever the trigger phrase/keywords show up in a subject or major discussion, never actually addresses any points made to him, etc.

But he does use complex enough language customized for the actual situation that I'm afraid he has to be a real person. Which is truly sad, given what all his comments have told me about him.

A routine sale at one online retailer and the lost of one license spells doom for ADV and by extension, the "industry". --; Well, I'm not buying it at all.

To say the least, I don't think that Gurren Lagann would have made or broke ADV. The only ones who care about Gurren Lagann, are the Gurren Lagann fanboys. And there are not as many of them in proportion the the rest of anime fandom as were the Evangelion fanboys a decade ago.

But ADV should have received a return on their initial license fee as part of a buyout clause. Since Bandai Entertainment now has Gurren Lagann, BE would have to pay ADV as part of the buyout. Otherwise, ADV would be in a position to file a lawsuit for breach of contract.
