The DVDs were a loss-leader for them.
They wanted to use it as a hook early on and phase it out,
but fans wouldn't give up that feature, so they were stuck with it.
This time around, they know not to offer fans what can't be taken back.

It was a great way to preview titles, though, although I can see
them being expensive to press every month...

issue (collectivitis is incurable), but I think I'll just glance at
the next couple, to see if they're worth it. I did like the Shin-
Chan manga at the end, though. One of the "Is Anime Dead" responses

Unless they work harder at getting them, I think they still don't
have enough ads to keep the thing going.


They'll have a hard time getting in on Play's turf, or even Neo's.

Yeah, there's more competition in the space they want to play in,
even the editor comments on something like that on the splash page.
