Readily available... if you don't mind the adware infestation that
accompanies it.

The same goes for any player that tries to peddle content - one
reason I stay away from them.

Oh for the days when my software did its job and nothing else... I don't
see why Winamp needs to try to help me download software, or I need gaming
in my AIM. Just do what you're supposed to and call it a day. kthxbye.

It seems computers selling these days offer you a bunch of 'free'
pre-installed software. However, you find out that they are primarily
advertising hooks.

The alternative to that is going to a Linux distribution like
Red Hat or one of its recompilers like CentOS, Mandriva or StartOS
where all the tools work.(Support may be extra). And a dual boot
system can be set up between Window(nearly any version and Linux)
so you can keep M$ versions for people who must specify it on
their Websites.
