Never believe anything any member of Dattebayo Fansubs says about
ANYTHING, EVER. The only good thing that can be said for them is
that they release lightning-fast and reasonably accurate fansubs

reprehensible, pathetic, and sad.

IIRC, this is the fansub group that uses inferior codecs and
container formats yet insults people in their FAQ when they have
trouble playing
them.

CCCP seems to fix everything codec-wise. ^_^

Yes, but in the days before I found codec-Nirvana, it was a rough
road, trying to figure out what codec or conatiner file you were
missing this week.

A good media player will identify, search, and install missing filters
automatically. Additionally, it will deconflict where necessary
since a number of filters are not compatible with one another. A
good, free, feature-rich player for the Windows environment that will
play virtually anything you throw at it is KMPlayer:

I appriciate it. But I'm a bit tired of trying out new players, codecs
packs, container files, and what have you. I just want it to work. KMP
may play well now, but in a few weeks, it will stop working, and there
will be a new "why aren't you using this one?" program.

VLC, 99% of what I get in the way of audio files play on it, the 1% can go
burn in hell for all I care. Windoze Media Player sucks the big one, and
I'm like you, I don't have the slightest interest in wrapping some thing
around my codec or video or wahat ever to get it to play on the MVXLplayer
tooted as the latest best what ever. An for what it's worth, anyone
calling their group CCCP is never going to get me to look at their web page!

Feh!! ^_^
