Gakuen Alice: What do the kids do between semesters?

In Alice Academy, what do the kids do whenever school isn't in session?

They can't head off to Okinawa for vacation, go home, visit or even call any non-Alice friends.

Do they just build giant robots and take over the world out of sheer boredom?
