Certain R1 anime DVDs are still awful, and practically always worse than
the Japanese R2 release (and it can't be contributed to R2 DVDs having less
episodes per disc, since it's not the compression artefacts that are the
problem).

That's so later on we can come out with the new and improved 'platinum'
release so we can sell the same DVD twice [grin].


Heh, like the Japanese don't do limited extended editions. ;-)
