1. Naruto's "baka"-ness. He apparently NEVER learns anything. He

painful this is for me? :-)

Naruto IS an idiot. He's an idiot-savant, though.

He has honestly shown NO talent what so ever. The savant is Sasuke to
date. In the bridge-builder arc, the only reason he won was
overwhelming power by partially breaking his seal. In the 28
episodes, name the
examples of Naruto's "savant" abilities? I can only think of one
thing and that was in the first 3 episodes.

In Naruto's defense (and I'm more of a Shikimaru fan), remember that the
body-double stunt he pulled in the bridge arc (when Kakashi was immobilized)
was a pretty good idea. He's not half bad when he sits down to think about
things, it's just that he doesn't often do that. He's a twelve-year-old
spaz. And, honestly, I'm getting so sick of the sixteen-year-olds being
better than adults with decades of experience, that it's a welcome change.
I'm sure it'll get there, but at least they're going to have to work long
and hard to do so.

2. Sakura's spaz fits. They were cute at the beginning but now I
cringe.

They start to die down soon. She has a MAJOR character turning point
in the mid-30s episode-wise.

30 episodes before the 3rd most important character is developed??

In the timeframe of this series, that's early.

3. The long, LOOOONG drawn out build ups are killing me. It seems
like mere minutes pass per episode but it still takes 25 minutes +
commercials to achieve it. As a side note, I now owe Bleach an
apology for long draw outs (even though they were usually worth
it). >_<;

When you have a shounen series such as this based off a very, very
long shounen manga, this is GOING to happen. Just accept it.

No, Bleach (by all accounts) condensed things to make it flow faster.
Lots of other long-run shounen series manage to keep up a good pace of
either comedy, drama and action (e.g., Ranma 1/2). In fact, ELL, I
named 2 manga->anime adaptations that didn't suffer from this. Can
you name 2 that also suffered this fate?

Let's put it this way. We're already being subjected to fifty-some episodes
of filler arc of varying quality, because the anime is dangerously close to
catching up to the manga. -More- condensed is definately -not- what we
need.

4. The other genins [spellingfix for free-ELL] acting like complete
and utter assholes. Can't any of them be at least, you know,
remotely redeemable?

Right, because Hinata was a COMPLETE bitch...

Hinata is practically NOT THERE.

Right now, the other are *supposed* to seem antagonistic--because
they're the *rivals* right now, and because they have only just been
introduced. We don't *know* them yet. Give it time...

It's an extremely childish way to handle it, and since you and others
kept saying Naruto was a more "mature" series than Dragonball with
more well-rounded characters, the fact you say that it is supposed to
be like this either means you were lying or immature.

Giving them time is extremely childish?
