Oh, come on, people. The entire *point* of a video like that is the
incongruity, the conflict between video and audio; it's not my cup of
tea (I don't even enjoy "Lollipops, Sunshine, and rrrRRRrrr", despite a
sort of sick fascination with it), but juxtaposing incompatible elements
like that is a perfectly valid artistic technique.
Tim Park makes it dead obvious that the use of any adult themes in rrrRRRrrr is nothing short of a pisstake. Some people don't make it so obvious.
(Not that every example of juxtaposing incompatible elements necessarily
rises to the level of "art". It's just that neither does putting two
such things together necessarily mean something negative.)
Any of you who were capable of enjoying or otherwise appreciating some
of the more tasteless moments in the various AMV Hell videos should
certainly be able to grasp the concept...
Mind you, this one would fit him:
Series: Card Captor Sakura
Song: Andre Williams, "Jailbait"

....okay, I try to give things the most positive interpretation I can
reasonably draw from the context, but I'm not sure how to take away
anything much less negative from this than the Eternal Lost Lurker's own
assessment. I thought better of you than that...
When you follow adult anime and manga and you get more than just a bit sick of how much lolicon is not only flourishing on its own, but creeping into stuff that you're otherwise happy with because either the artist or the publisher thought that a bit of pandering to that audience would be a good idea, you tend to get prickly about it. What I liked about Andre Williams' lyric is that it's a nice little cautionary tale of what can happen if you follow some baser instincts just a little too closely. With that said, I'd rather people who had those tendencies stuck to drawings and animation, since no real minors get exploited to make those (that I know of). But that doesn't mean that I find having said tendencies any less reprehensible than I did before.
