MP4 containter format hasn't really taken off until AVC appeared though, so
if you see a file with MP4 extension, you can be fairly certain that it's
h.264.

Since I don't own a PSP, I hadn't known of this. MP4 files available
on-line seem to almost always contain h.264 video.
