When I watch anime, esp. from Funimation which has two subtitle tracks, one
for the Japanese audio and one for the English audio, I usually watch the
subtitles for the Japanese track while listening to the English dub. I
haven't been doing that for my FMA recaps because I want to give Dave and
others who watched the original Japanese version a sense of how the dubbers
have translated key lines.

Well, we certainly see that in Mustang's character, as shown by episode 37.
Doesn't Mustang actually quote from The Art of War during the Flame v.
Fullmetal episode?

That's what I thought at first, but then when Lust turned out to be in the
room, it sort of seemed like one of those half awake moments when you think
you're still dreaming but you're not.

I remember a Saturday night in 1978 when I was listening to Casey Kasem's
Top 40 on the radio, and during a newsbreak at 9 pm, the announcer gave the
first report of the mass suicide of the Peoples Temple cult in Jonestown,
Guyana. 914 people died.

I would fix Al first. I think that his mental health is dependent on it.

Yes, false hope is comforting. In the end, life has dealt you certain cards,
maybe good cards, maybe bad cards, but whatever cards you've got, those are
the only ones you have to play with.

:) Tell me about it. She'll be going to the orthopedist as much as I do.
