I noticed the sound as well. Elfen Lied did have 6 channel as an option. I
tried some of my idol DVDs and they seem to be encoded as a lower rate than
the anime. I will compare the Last Samurai this afternoon. I have the
American release and the Japanese release. Movies are cool as they will
have subtitles even when in Japanese.
