HIPcomix Happenings - Holiday Spirit!

Greetings once again and welcome to another edition of "HIPcomix
Happenings", a weekly newsletter dedicated to the latest news and
notes from everyone's favorite adult-themed comic website...

This week, in celebration of the U.S. Independence Day holiday weekend
(no hard feelings to our British pals), HIPcomix is proud to offer a
whopping SIX brand new, never before seen comics for our loyal
members. That's right, six! This includes what might be an HIPcomix
record 105 page update by our good friend MORPHEUS, which
coincidentally is the last issue of his well-received "Saffyre Blue"
series. We are also pleased to announce the return of MIDNITE to the
regular schedule with the resumption of his "Betty Noir" series. More
on that and the other new offerings this week below...

From MORPHEUS:

As Stan Lee was fond of saying when running late - "apolagia!" - but I
can promise you that this one is worth the wait!!

First the good news - this is my biggest EVER update at 105 pics!!!
Yup - that's right - not a misprint!!105!!! Why? Well, I'd built up a
head of steam with this little tale and felt that the final three
episodes would not benefit from being split up and issued separately
so by doing it this way you can read the build-up to our heart-rending
conclusion just the way I wrote it. Don't expect this all the time,
tho', folks - it's a one-off but I hope you'll agree with me that it's
was a good decision on my part.

The bad news? Well, as you will have gathered from the above, this is
the last issue of "Saffyre Blue". For those who have not read the
issue yet I won't drop in any spoilers but suffice it to say that,
love it or hate it, the ending I wrote just felt right. Was I wrong?
Let me know.

Back to good news again just to end this announcement on a high note -
"Saffyre Blue" may have run her course but ol' Morpheus is still
working away and will shortly be returning with a new strip -
"PERIHELION"! It's a change of pace from Saffyre but I still hope to
bring you lots of that lovingly created Morpheus artwork which,
judging by the very kind comments I've received over the months, you
all seem to enjoy. I will be taking a break for a while as there are
lots of models to build, costumes to design etc before the strip can
begin and I also have a ton of other work which has to get done on
other non-HIP projects but there's a sneaky peek somewhere on the site
- all you have to do is find it...

Just to let you all know that Betty Noir will finally finish her
adventure in the Caribbean. The new episode is up now and the new
cover for the next episode is up in the free gallery as well. Yeah I
know it was a long time coming, but life is what happens when life
gets in the way...

I'll be putting up new Betty Noir Adventures every two weeks this
summer and maybe even something else very special, we'll see. Hope you
all enjoy watching her wriggle out of her predicament...
