Hi Warren,
I'm not sure what cured your ich if indeed that is what
it was, but I am sure your treatment would have little if any effect,
an SG of 1.026 is rather high 1.023 is a perfectly normal SG, a UV
filter will not kill ich, Ectopur is oxygen- releasing salts, ideally
suited to support a treatment with sera remedies, there words not mine,
they do say it will combat fungus and ectoparasites, a term normally
used to describe fleas and tics etc.. on humans and mammals. Ich is
present in most all tanks and normally only infects your fish due to
stress or poor water quality.
