Don't mix around the sand, your tank is its own eco system, which the sand
is a part of.. mixing the sand screws with it. Leave it alone.If you have
live rock, it will produce several things just for the mere fact it's live
rock, one of which is a red/ pink discolorations on the sand. Don't worry
about it.
Cyno Algea is a red SLIM that is easily corrected. If you have Red Slime
Algea, you can correct it simply by going to your live fish store and
getting Chemi Clean. It's reef safe and fixes it overnight. IF you have
Cyno, you need to increase your water flow.
