newbie seeks refs and links

Hello all!

I've been keeping freshwater tanks (fish only and combo fish/planted) for several years with good success. Lately I've specialized in reproducing malawi bioscaped tanks. I'm currently running two 55g tanks and two 75g.

Frankly, I'm feeling the pull of "the dark side" (as the owner of my LFS puts it) and would like to step into marine reef tanks. I've started by buying several books (both hobbiest/amateur and text) from Amazon and am going through those and taking notes.

I'd like to start by asking for help with two things...

1. Can anyone suggest books, magazines, forums, and/or websites
that will help in the education process?

2. Next, I'd like help picking out my equipment. Due to space
considerations I'd prefer to stay with a rectangular tank. While
a 125g is certainly do-able, for some reason I'm being drawn to
a 220g - which *might* be too deep at 30"??? So, if I go with the
125g what equipment would you suggest as a starting setup for
cycling the LR/LS over the first several weeks?

Thanks,

mark h
