Phil and Kris - Thanks very much for your help with my location issue.
I do think it's VERY possible that I've mis-dated the pieces. I am
rather new to this field, and in the past I've found I've tended to
think some objects were older than they in fact turned out to be, so
I've taken that into consideration. I will do some poking around at
the library, and also research David Dunderdale / Castleford.
I realise I may need to invest in some good, solid identifer guides...
I'm surprised that people would keep this information so 'secret' - I'd
planned to post on my website the backstamps that I have been able to
track down?!?! Let's hear it for shared info!!!
cheers!
John
I believe people's hard work and years of research should be
repaid by people willing to purchase their books (or pay to
use their websites).
I don't know what you do for a living, John, but may I take
all of your work and put it on the internet for free? (I don't
think you'd like that, would you?)
Just another side of the story,
Kris
.
