Oh! My hair hurts, just thinking of late 1995, when Prodigy was paying
me to design web page content for them. All I had to do was provide
coverage of one seven-state area (Rockies and Northern Plains).
Do you know how hard it was, at that time, to find *anything* on the
web that included the words "North Dakota"? For over a year, my
North Dakota page had four links, one of them to a PBS station that
forgot they had a web page. I tell you, when you emailed a webmaster
and asked for "permission to link commercially", they almost wet
their pants in delight.
