I'll go out and buy my ticket tomorrow but by then I am sure my lucky
streak will be over. But just in case it's not, I think I will start
making my antiques shopping list.
A big, nice E. Martin Hennings painting. Live and in person they just
sing. There is probably some technical explanation of the way he puts
the paint on canvas... (I am way out of my depth here) but it's really
pretty the way he does it.
Several pieces of William de Morgan's Islamic art influenced ceramics.
He's the Rolling Stones of ceramics. The Stones took American blues and
made it their own and in much the same way Mr. de Morgan's
interpretation of Islamic art is an art in itself.
And one of those drip paintings. I'm having a Senior Moment. Who made
those things? Jasper Johns? (google, google) Jackson Pollock.
