Tell your Mom to turn it over, look at the backstamp to see who made it, then do one of these things:

(1)  Look at eBay completed auctions.
(2)  Go to Replacements Limited (and divide their price by 3 to
get a close-to-actual value that someone would pay).

The "dogwood" name has been used by many manufacturers to
name many different patterns.

If your mother's platter has even one tiny chip, crack or fleabite,
it's value is diminished by 90%.
