Posting Binaries with Mac?

From what I have learned from Master Google; Unison (by Panic Software) is the best Mac newsreader out there. It isn't free though.
Right now I'm using Thunderbird and it works fine for reading text groups. What about downloading *and posting* binaries? I tried to read up on Unison's capabilities, but they don't say much about posting. Would it support all of the MIME formats? What about the controversial yEnc?
Is there another newsreader I should check out? Plug-ins for Thunderbird?
