[slrn] Can I make a rule that will auto-ignore all follow-ups to a certain author?

Being able to killfile someone doesn't seem very usefull if you still
have to sort through all the followups to that person.

That usually depends on whether or not the Message-IDs used by that person
are sufficiently unique to them, for you to score or filter on the
References header. If their MIDs only indicate a widely used news-reader
or news-server, there isn't a lot you can do about it. I don't think XPN
keeps a list by author of the MIDs of 'killed' articles. Few if any
newsreaders do, as far as I know.

If a thread or sub-thread becomes a nuisance, score or filter manually on
the References headers containing the MID of the article at the start of
it, or on the Subject.

Ok, so I learned how to do it on XPN, but now I'm using slrn, and I
don't see any convenient way to do this.

It just so happens that the first person's MID that I tried to score
doesn't have a username, so my only option with that
would be to kill an entire domain, which I don't want to do.

I would imagine that you could script something that would resonstruct
any unavialable headers that are found in each articles references
header, check the From header in each referenced article,
and then score the originally
evaluated article if needed.

I'm not really sure how to do that though.

Is there some pre-existing method to be used?
