A recent example of how encoded words cause whitespace problems
can be found in this post from Dan C:
news:pan.2009.01.12.02.23.12@xxxxxxxxx
In this screenshot of ThunderBird, notice the extra spaces,
spaces that weren't in the plain-UTF-8 title he quoted:
JeffRelf.F-M.FM/T-Bird.PNG
( notice how T-Bird shows my plain-UTF-8, sans encoded words,
and it also shows it for all quoters )
Windows Mail also has the extra spaces:
JeffRelf.F-M.FM/WinMail.PNG
( notice how the plain-UTF-8 doesn't display correctly,
nor does is show correctly when others quote Dan C )
I changed very few settings in T-Bird and WinMail,
I only use them to see how others are suffering.
