Thanks for that Mike. I had sort of forgotten about this bug. It
has been around for so long. OE-Quotefix was a popular choice for
many OE users, which I think also cured the sig bug (and gave OE
RFC compliant sigs) so I didn't see it too often (is this what
you use?). I also guess OE-QF doesn't cross over, for MWN users?

Yes I use OEQF because I also use the 'old' version of OE before
SP2 (when I'm in W98se old OE6). The last v. of QF is from 2003
Feb. Some features of QF don't work right on versions after SP2
because MS changed how OE controls the 'read all messages in plain
text' function. Some who used OEQF w/ the older v.OE dropped it
and went to some other client when they upped to XPSP2.

OE-QF is a *nice* piece of software. I am surprised MS didn't actually
pick up on it and buy it outright from its developer. Perhaps that way
it could have become integrated into OE and beyond (and would've made
Thunderbird and even some stand-alone news-clients look perhaps not so
enticing).

I understand^1 that QF won't 'integrate' with Vista. That is,
there is an OEQF integrator, but that integrator doesn't
integrate/work w/ VistamMail, so it is necessary to use the
freestanding QF and start it first before starting vistamail.

Ah good. Thanks for the link. So there is still a use for OE-QF yet.
Perhaps a batch file could help in the start-up process?
