I'm partial to this explanation (it's more than simple spamming)
I add to it, Hip crime/Flooding by the malicious miscreant type whose
only aim is derived from the pleasure from other's displeasure. That
is, they aren't trolling or spamming, they simply hate "normal"
discourse.
Some people can't move a thematic discourse along. I've seen people hang
out in C forums just to talk with someone on the net.
The usual reason that I shift a pseudonym is that I'm starting from
scratch, and I can't remember what the old settings were. Using dialog
instead of OE has really helped continuity, not just with the pseudonym,
but with server settings and address books. With George, I actually just
matched my identity to the randomsig. 100 sayings from the most corrupt,
willfully stupid, aggressively anti-American texas cocksucker has been a
learning experience.
I wonder where the rest of you find all this trolling, spamming, and
sockpuppeting. I see very little of it and, when it persists, I find a
simple killfilter to be a twenty second solution.
Together, you sound like George Bush talking about security: "we have this
extraordinary measure because terrorists were going to blow up
Poughkeepsie." It is those who constantly rail against infractions of
netiquette who are the truly insufferable baboons.

On September 11 2001, America felt its vulnerability even to threats that
gather on the other side of the Earth. We resolved then, and we are
resolved today, to confront every threat from any source that could bring
sudden terror and suffering to America.
