[Xnews] LUU PLEASE READ - Rescore on add to score takes forever

1.)
The plonk file in Xnews is really a total worthless piece of crap that
has not worked in ten years. Why do we have a Killfile or "Add to
Killfile" command under the Article menu in Xnews if it never does a
dammed thing, ever? Take it out or make it work. It just craps up the
software to put useless features that do not work in it.

2.)
The Article menu has a great feature that *does* work, "Add to score
file" and with that I can killfile any retards and spammers by using this
tool. However, everytime I use it, it marks all articles by said person
deleted with a -9999 score (great) but then it takes many minutes to
rescore the entire newsgroup window and during those several minutes, the
program freezes up entirely. You cannot access or use it in any way, the
face of the program will not refresh so if something goes over it and
comes off, you are left with a big, white box until the program gets done
scoring and finally refreshes the screen and releases control of the
software back to the user. This sucks! One one hand I have to use add to
score in order to plonk anyone but then i lose the program for many
minutes while it rescores and I am stuck sitting there.

Xnews is my favorite newsreader and has been around for what, decades?
Okay I know it is spare time, free software from Luu Tran but what the
hell Luu, either shit or get off the dammed pot, will ya? This software
has has these quirks for like ten freaking years and yet you do not a
dammed thing about it. In TEN YEARS you cannot find enough free time to
correct these two bugs? Make the killfile work or take it out and fix add
to score so it does not tie up the software and render it useless for
several minutes each time you "add to score"?

I am getting really fed up, ten years is more than enough time to fix
something that needs attention. If I can find a half decent newsreader
other than Xnews that does not do this freeze up crap and where the
killfile actually works, it does yenc, and inline jpg images, and is easy
to use, please let me know about it. I stick with Xnews for decades but
not even the author of the software sticks with his baby. He does not fix
it, he does not update it, and he does not release the source so that
somebody who wants to, actually CAN fix what is wrong with it. Now the
question is, what is WRONG with Luu Tran? ...sigh.

Shit or get off the pot, will ya Lu?!!! For Chrissakes!
