[GG] I guess I shouldn't be a surprised...

Not sure if it's a relatively new "feature" of GG, but just
noticed this for the first time. This post was a followup to one
of mine:

<27741565-27b5-4451-b00e-5381436d46db@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Not only does it strip anything with "[]" in the Subject header,
which I like to use to put the post in context; and not only does
it completely stuff the plain text formatting of my post when
quoted and add miscellaneous control characters, combine separate
lines together etc; and not only does it /not/ strip sigs from
the quoted message; but it has stripped the "<>" surrounding the
Message-ID of the post it's following up, thereby breaking
threading!

See the Ref headers of the post look like this:

References: 20080924221828.677@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I note that if you view the thread using GG, threading is intact,
but the formatting issues are still wrong.

I know, I know. UIP and all that...
