As you choose to kill all GG posts, the posters in this group who
*don't* kill all GG posts will respond to and try to help the

That's what he refuses to get, Rom -- that this isn't the
teeming-with-Gropers group that he for some reason thinks it is. That
lack of actually paying attention to the group leads him to think that
posting his boilerplate to this group will get to those countless Gropers;
the problem, as you indicate, is that they're not here.

As I keep saying, education is a fine thing. But it has to be done where
the people that can use it *are*.

That's all very fine except for one wee problem. You don't know
who reads this group without posting on it. There's no way for
you to know that. Or me.

For starters, there a "lurkers" all over the Usenet, monitoring
groups they never post on. I do that with a dozen groups or so
myself. This group probably has "lurkers" too. No way to know,
but it is reasonable to assume it has.

Furthermore, I find it very easy to believe people using
googlegroups read this group without posting here, because of all
the anti-googlegroup sentiment here, and the number of people who
kill all posts from there.

Who wants to post on a group where they are going to be ignored
and attacked?

I've considered your advice and rejected it. Wny do you find this
so difficult to accept?

Are you a king in the real world, who just tells people what to
think and do?

Even if you are, you aren't here. This is the home of free speech.
It really exists here, whereas it often doesn't in the real world.

You are prejudiced in the extreme against googlegroups. I think
your judgement is warped.

In fact, I pretty much proved that above.

I have expressed no opinion of GG folk one way or the other. I did offer an alternative (twice) and would appreciate a response to it.

Thanks,
