There were several other Aussies on my contact list online at that point
but they'd all claim not to know the answer because such language is
only used by westies or boofheads, so I didn't ask.

I've mostly heard the term spoken so I'm willing to concede the point
that dumb aussies would derivate double Ps from a word with a single P
:-)
