Well, yes. I was aware of it being a piece of *** newsreader.
Perhaps I misunderstood the thread earlier when I asked the
question about what it was lacking, but it seemed that you were
referring to it's abilities as an email client. I find it quite
excellent at that task.
While it's not necessarily a popular opinion here, I prefer to use
the same reader to perform both tasks (since I mostly use them for
similar purposes), so I don't really distinguish the two functions.

As always, YMMV.
My mileage varies.

Dan C's comments above illustrate why your opinion isn't common here,
it must be very to create one program to do two jobs because T'bird
is only one of many that work well at one task but not at another.
You're absolutely right. I've used separate programs in the past,
many times, but in the end, FOR ME, I find that the advantages of
using one program outweigh the advantages of using separate, specialty
programs.

I don't pretend to know what's best for others, and I'd hope they'd
have the same respect for me. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work
that way.
Oh, I respect that. See, last time it was time to replace my vehicle, I
was actually going to buy both a sports car for fun and a truck for
utility. Then I got this idea! I'll buy a sedan, and it will be like
owning a sports car *and* a truck! So I did. But it turns out all it
really ended up being was a sedan. ;)

Shoulda got a 6litre Holden Ute and you coulda had both in one...
