The other day I got a message from Xnews that outbox.hdr might be
corrupted. There was an article listed in the outbox that I
wanted to delete, but couldn't. So I deleted outbox.hdr and
restarted Xnews, but the article was still there and no new
outbox.hdr had been created. Then I deleted outbox.mbx, but the
article is still listed, though if I click on it I get the
message "article not found". So what can I do to get rid of this
nonexistent listing?
Delete *both* outbox.* files at the same time.

Unfortunately those files don't exist, at least not anywhere that I can
find them. Presumably Xnews can't find them in the recycle bin.
