[slrn+slrnpull] Warning: Could not save list of requested bodies

I am still just setting up slrnpull so I am probably missing something
obvious:
After i have downloaded headers using slrnpull for various groups, I
then use:
slrn --spool
to look at the headers. I then use 'm' to mark those articles for which
I wish to see the bodies.
When I then quit the group the follwing message appears at the bottom of
the screen:
"Warning: Could not save list of requested bodies"
