Just stick a line in your hosts file (that's the filename) that names
it. Google as needed.
Here's mine:
127.0.0.1 thurston.blinkynet.net localhost thurston
192.168.0.1 thurston.blinkynet.net thurston
192.168.0.2 ginger.blinkynet.net ginger
192.168.0.3 maryann.blinkynet.net maryann
192.168.0.4 theskipper.blinkynet.net theskipper
I do hope that you and others use such a hostname in generating the
message-id that all mail to it is rejected during the SMTP dialogue.
Otherwise you'll receive spam directed to all those
slrn...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I know from my own experience that spammers occasionally harvest
message-ids and create more spam targets by creatively modifying
them.
