If I read the article very carefully and then read it very carefully
again, and then look at some fundamentals of Tbird, what I see is that
Tbird's use as a newsreader is 'non-existent'.
The article is about Tbird the mailuseragent. Tbird is a mailuseragent,
oh yeah, which can also sorta do news.
Tbird is totally inferior as a newsagent to such as Outlook Express.
And another thing. Currently I use Tbird as a newsagent when in my
linux distros because to my taste, linux apps are pretty weak in the
newsreader category.
I think that may be /your/ opinion ...
People seem to talk about using Wine so that they can access a
newsreader in linux.
Only up to the point at which they actually take the plunge and find that
most real newsreaders are built for *nix not for Windows ;)) (Not too
surprising, given that Windows wasn't even thought of when usenet reached
maturity).
Personally, I'd like to see continued development of T'burp, just my
own opinion.
