My news client here also has SpamAssassin capability locally. I might
play with that, too, on my not-Blinkynet mailboxen.

And I filter locally, too, of course. The filter that catches the most,
is - perhaps surprisingly - a simple HTML filter. Right into the spam
folder they go! :)

I'd love to be able to bin all HTML messages, but I have too many
acquaintances that send HTML, and frankly, wouldn't be able to turn it
off, even with full instructions, anyway. :-(

Re the latter: why not?

What're you using for mail?
