This "waiting for confirmation" / "10053 connection aborted" problem
seems to be alongstanding issue with xnews, unfortunately. In my case
it seems to relate to the number of lines in the message, though it
seems variable. But any individual message, once it has once failed
to post, will fail in the same way every single time I retry it. (So
far this has only been tested over a couple of days.) Other messages
post fine.
I get it with one server when my router is playing up. Rebooting my router
fixes it. Next time you get it I'd recomend dropping to a command prompt
and doing a "netstat -a" to see what state your connection is in.
I don't think it's a XNews issue.
