Hope someone could lend a little insight to this.
Not sure what i have done to create these HDR files. They are
located in at the following path Xnews\data.
If the files become quite large (over 1,000KB) i have noticed view
postings (mp3, binaries, etc..) start to take much longer to DL or
view.
When i exit a particular subscribed group, i F8 the group, so when
i return i don't view the same postings. Not sure if this is what
creating these files.
More than likely, you accidentally turned header storage on for a
particular group(s). It's easy to do, as the F7 key is right next to
the F8 key.
Look at the name of the .hdr file. It is usually:
[servername]<group name>.hdr
Simply open up the group on that server, hit the F7 key, and select
"Store Nothing".
That should take care of your problem.
HTH,
John
