Yup, for [.] I have xposts set to 3, and for a few other hierachies;
Especially AFN, where I have it set to zero xposts with an escaping
"~" clause for alt\.(usen.*comparison|.*wservers)|news\.s.*readers

BTW, it took a while for Xnews to grow on me too.
