Xnews isn't really offline it just doesn't do a overview for that
group with the servers or clear the last session's mbx file on open
(which can be useful).

Does Xnews connect to the server but just not request the overview? If
not, I'd say it's offline (but we all know it will go online if
you accidentally breathe on it).
