I was able to add three servers and get groups lists from those servers, but when I try for instance to get groups from "news.mozilla.org" I get socket error #11004.

Are you able to ping news.mozilla.org ?

Does using the IP of 216.196.97.169 instead of the name work?

Googling tought me it may have to do with a firewall, so I switched mine off. Made no difference. Can some one help me?

A DNS problem.

Yes, I gathered as much from Googling.
Do you know how to solve it? I know nothing about DNS.
