I post to some servers that can only be posted to from themselves, is there a
simple way to make this happen without having to put all the group names in
the ini?

I've taken the liberty of changing the subject to something that might
catch the attention of an Xnews guru. Meanwhile, more generally, you may
find that using multiple servers, some of them read-only, is much easier
if you run a 'local caching proxy news server' of your own - "Hamster"
seems to be the most popular one for Windows systems.
