Forget the newsreader wish thread regarding my query. I replied to that
thread to save me copying/pasting this newsgroup's address, but cocked up.
You used Thunderbird as your newsclient. When you have a newsgroup
selected, and click the "Write new message" icon or press Ctrl+M, the
selected newsgroup is automatically selected for posting. There's no need
to copy/paste a newsgroup 'address'.

BTW, I'm using Pan on Linux, and it's the best Linux-newsreader I've seen
so far. SLRN is probably better for text-only, but managing graphics (like
a wallpaper- or photography-group) is far more comfortable in Pan.
