Sorry, I dunno where Xnews looks for hostnames. That 130.133.1.4
is news.individual.net, which makes sense if the default %rip is
being used.

Xnews asks windows for the DNS NAME of the server's IP for use as the
FQDN. BUT, depending on the version of windows you're running it's
ethier looked up in it's DNS cache (9x), or processed by the local DNS
service (XP). For all lookups the host file(s) are cheked first for a
match before asking the athoritive servers.

Well, my hosts file was up to date with "maryann.blinkynet.net", and Xnews
sure didn't pick *that* up. :)

I *do* have it working by feeding that setting the string in the ini file;
but it sure didn't work with the variables.
