I don't think so. I have eight other newsreaders on this system and the
only one I'm having problems posting with is Pan.

You "don't think so", but did you go look? Did you set up a firewall rule
for Pan, just to rule it out?

completely and tried again.

If you did it via the icon, then it was the act of shutting down ZA that
didn't work.

Check running tasks/processes, and kill vsmon.exe and try again.

Just double checked and vsmon.exe wasn't a running process.

Perhaps I missed it earlier in the thread, but what OS?

Nope, I've steered clear of SP2 and the Windows firewall is off.
