The latest KNode is 0.10.1. I was going to suggest that you check out the
official website, <http://knode.sourceforge.net/>, to read the ChangeLog,
but it appears it hasn't been updated for two years.
That's because versions of KNode from 0.8.x onwards have been more
closely integrated into KDE. There are mentions of changes to KNode in
the changelogs attached to KDE release announcements.

I'm not surprised;
KNode development seems to be *very* slow and disorganized.
As far as I can tell, 0.10.2 is identical to 0.10.1. The only reason
it has a version change is that the KDE version has changed.
Development of both Slrn and Pan seems also to have slowed to a crawl
recently. Tin and Sylpheed-Claws are the only OSS newsreaders I know
of that have had any visible work done on them this year.
Sylpheed-Claws seems to me now to be the most advanced OSS GUI
newsreader; so much so that I'm tempted to try using it as my primary
newsreader for a while. I can't quite recommend it because I don't
know how stable it is.
