That first "." puzzles me.
slrn regexes aren't case-sensitive by default, so there's no need for [Ww].
If I read German newsgroups I'd certainly use "wa[sr]".
"|" doesn't work at all in s-lang. :-(

Yeah, I thought of that, but what is the marker for *partly* OT? :-)

[POT], of course!

Also, it's only a newsreader configuration issue for those few of us
with *real* newsreaders.

The "few" may be in the majority here.

For the vast majority of mere mortals, it's a
*netiquette* issue! :-)

And Blinky is the egregious violater of netiquette in this case,
having got the whole "was..." thing completely wrong. :-)
