Using what version of DirectX? 8.1b was the most stable until 9.0c came
out. Once you move to 9.x though, you're stuck. There's no way to revert to
an earlier version. What video card on the laptops? Onboard? VIA chipset?
There's still a lot of variables when dealing with video issues. Of course,
it may be just a bug with Xnews. *shrug* =)
