As far as I know it is not. :(
I tried it once, too, cause in my opinion a signature can very well be 79
characters long, since it's going to be snipped in followups anyway.
One could be able to write a script though that "repairs" linebreaks in the
signature when sending.
Or, in some cases, if you have lots of whitespace in your signature: You can
try and replace 8 space characters with one tab character. It displays as 8,
but only counts as one towards the line length limit.
